About 2009 Squier Classic Vibe 60’s Stratocaster Guitar
Playability is great! Tone is amazing for such a cheap guitar! Definitely has some decent pickups in it. The clearcoat is polyester which looks and feels good… though it has a weird softness to it… feels less dense than nitro and is even easier to scratch. The guitar was set up great already… though I need to change out the 9s, the sound of thin strings makes me grit my teeth.
The build is top notch – finish is flawless, very nice fret work (no sharp ends), nice rosewood. And the tone – oh man, that tone is marvelous. I’m not one for the brittle brightness that some Strats can have on the bridge PU. This one has nice gutsy bright tones that are quite usable. And the warmer clean tones with the center and neck PUs are vintage 60’s Strat all the way
