About ASUS ROG PG32UQ Gaming Monitor

The 32-inch screen on the PG32UQ almost fills the monitor’s entire surface area, and the only form of decoration on the front is a small Republic of Gamers logo. Things do, however, get a little crazier on the rear, as there is a much larger illuminated version of the same symbol that can be customised within the monitor’s settings menu. Just like other ROG peripherals, you can change the colour of the RGB lighting, and you can choose whether you want this light to remain static or cycle between different shades. These customisation options are certainly a nice touch, but they felt a little pointless with the monitor often facing the wall.

Sadly, there is no remote control included in the box, to move through these visual settings. Instead, users have to rely on using four plastic buttons and a scrolling wheel on the back to navigate through its abundance of options and this can feel pretty tedious. Another design choice we’re not overly fond of is that its HDMI ports on the back are tucked away and feel awkwardly placed. We felt like we were twisting around just trying to plug our Xbox in, and due to this, we restricted ourselves to just having one device connected at a time.
