This generation of men is undergoing a comprehensive overhaul of what it means to be a father, a Dad, with a capital “D”. They are trying to throw off the straitjacket of being stereotyped into one specific role as a parent – often the distant, financial provider who isn’t involved in the day-to-day experience of their children’s lives. Involved Dads are trying to provide a better emotional life, a more complete family experience for their kids. The research is clear that involved Dads make a significantly more positive impact on their children’s lives in terms of education, life satisfaction, emotional development and much more.
The Early Years explores Jeremy’s experiences as an involved Dad when his twins were three-four years old with his wonderful ability to bring the reader into his family to share the challenges and joys of modern parenting.
